Painting, Performing & Praying with Scott Erickson

The Guys Like Us is joined with Scott Erickson who is a touring painter, performance artist, and creative storyteller. His latest book with Justin McRoberts, Prayer: Forty Days of Practice. The book combines word and image prayers. He says, “we pray because we are human, not because we are religious.” He starts with the assumption that there is already a conversation going on within, and it is bringing the “excavation tools” through prayer to illuminate it. Scott takes us back through his creative years and how he came to the place he is today. He shares more about his Stations in the Street artwork which models the Stations of the Cross, depicting Jesus on the day of his crucifixion. You can visit him at scottericksonart.com or on Instagram @scottthepainter.
